Structure of Specification
This specification defines
the specification to add access protection functionality of Memory space and
Kernel Objects. The version number of the specification has been displayed in
the front page as well as top-right of every page.
The structure of this specification is as
follows:
The first chapter
describes, the aim of introducing the protection functionality to the uITRON4.0
Specification and policy development. The
contents of this chapter is not part of the specification.
The second chapter describes,
concept of each type of protection extension and the rules which are common to
multiple functional units. The chapter 3 describes the changes required by each
functional unit of uITRON4.0 Specification. Chapter 4 describes the new
functionalities added for protection extension.
The chapter 5 has the
information for reference when implementing or using the kernel that compiles
this specification, though it cannot be used as it is in the kernel
specification. The chapter 6 has the table for reference when reading this
specification.
The format of this
specification document follows uITRON4.0 specification. However, the supplementary
explanation paragraph will additionally explain the reason for the decision of
the specification and the relation with the conventional specification.
